If you're interested in making music then you've definitely come to the right place.
Youth Music is a national charity set up in 1999 to enable young people to make themselves heard, regardless of their background or ability.
The Youth Music Underage competition is just the latest in a number of performance opportunities that we provide to young musicians every year. Other competitions we have run include Origin8, Build a Band and the Youth Music Week Barfly comp.

We also fund and support all sorts of different ongoing music projects across the country; from Garage to Gospel, Rock to Reggae, Hip Hop to House, Classical to Choral, Samba to Soul, Funk to Folk, Jazz to Junk and Dance to Donk.
Everyone can enjoy music, but not everyone gets the opportunity to make it or knows where to find like-minded people. So here's your chance. Youth Music has 22 Youth Music Action Zones across the UK that offer everything from workshops, rehearsals, performances, one-to-one teaching and mentoring. Find your nearest Youth Music Action Zone
