This song was written about my sister, she moved to London about 3 years ago and I miss her deeply. I tried to make the lyrics adaptable to any relationship so audiences can relate to it and connect. The music came to me one morning as I was experimenting with different capo positions, once I started playing the song just came out and stuck it my head; so it became one of my serious songs to play to people.
The recording itself was done by a man named Nick who wanted to record me after hearing me play at Riffs Bar.
Tell us how you would use the power of music to make a difference in your community?
I would use the power of music to bring everyone together. A simple song can connect to so many people who can live completly seperate lives, yet can relate to the same song.
Tell us your favourite, most powerful song ever?
My top ten favourate songs change all the time, however my favourate would have to be, at the moment, The Last Song I'm Wasting on You by Evanescence. Evanescence was the first band I found on my own without the influence of others and this song explodes with emotion.
